LHS Helpdesk Heads to Masscue by Mitch McKay

Four Lynnfield High School Helpdesk students are extremely excited to head to MassCue on Thursday, October 24th. MassCue is an annual technology conference in which students, teachers, and administrators from all over New England come together to collaborate and discuss how innovative technology can be integrated into their school districts.

Last year at the conference, Lynnfield High School Helpdesk students participated in a variety of activities all changing their perceptions of technology. Inspirational speakers caught the eye of LHS students last year by discussing relevant and exciting technology topics. Students also learned about the power of social media and how to use it as a tool to demonstrate the importance of literacy and the importance of being a global citizen. Projects were viewed during the visit which demonstrated how they were able to be creative in their own classrooms using technology.  Finally,  students showed presentations of how they integrated technology into their own schools, inspiring everybody at the conference to do the same. After a very interesting and beneficial visit last year, the  LHS Helpdesk students are eager to head back and learn more!
This year, the LHS Helpdesk students will be presenting as a part of the CUEKids program from 10:00-12:00. Their presentation, Bridging Generations:  Lynnfield High School Helpdesk Students and Lynnfield Senior Center Members Learn Together  will highlight their amazing program working with the Lynnfield Senior Center members. Two helpdesk members, Emily and Elena, will also present during the ignite session at 10:30.
