Helpdesk presenting at Masscue

Rev_Fall18_conf_Logo_Horizontal-300x126Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE), is Massachusetts’ affiliate of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). This October MassCUE partners with the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS) to host New England’s premiere technology-in-education conference at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The conference provides educators with two days chock-full of workshops and networking opportunities.  This year, MassCUE’s annual conference has a record number of over 1,600 teachers and administrators attending each day.  There will be over 200 50-minute sessions where teachers shared best practices as well as some longer in-depth two-hour sessions. Also, more than 130 educational technology companies and 15 nonprofits will show off their wares and promote the latest advances in hardware and software.

Inspirational speakers are always a staple of the conference. We will again have our CUEByte talks modeled after the TED Talks. The speakers grab our attention by sharing with us what aspects of education they are most passionate about.  One is a student speaker Liv Bits, who has been featured all over the United States as she promotes literacy and being a global citizen using social media.

Additionally, MassCUE has two student showcases. We will have CUEKids and Global Ed Trekkers, sharing amazing projects they have done in their classrooms. Students from over 30 different school systems across the state will highlight projects that focus on connection with global education, and they will explain their high-quality projects that incorporate learning and technology.

We are excited to let you know students from Lynnfield High School Helpdesk will be presenting at this year’s MassCUE conference on  October 18th from 10:00-12:00 in the Student Showcase area.   We will be presentation is Students doing real world work – LHS HelpDesk students manage the entire chromebook repair process.
