Let’s Get Together and Send Some Smiles!!

 

 

 

 

Sending Smiles is an organization created by 2 sweet sisters named Alex and Ashley! They recruited their cousins Jack, Kate, Mare, and Will to create postcards to help the sick at their camp! Therefore, they decided to ask the students from all of the elelementary schools to help Send Smiles!! According to Sending Smiles official website,   “17,000 postcards have been sent to children at St Jude’s, Children’s National Medical, Hopkins House, give kids the World Village, over 25 Ronald McDonald Houses, Children’s Inn at NIH, as well as individual patients  and families throughout the United States” These two sisters found a cause they believed in, and have made such a difference! These postcards are being sent to people suffering from illnesses, such as cancer or other conditions. Send a Smile today at our very own LHS Makerspace! It’s never too late to make a difference!

Also, the sisters are taking donations, selling t-shirts, and looking for postcard decorators! The donations and t-shirts profits go to a great cause!
