Hour of Code @LHS
This week December 8th through the 14th is the 2nd annual hour of code week. The hour of code is a one hour introduction to computer science designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. To celebrate the hour of code, LHS participated in a variety of ways. Mrs. Coats dedicated all of her classes on December 8th to coding. Mrs. Alpert offered guided coding sessions every block on Tuesday December 9th in the Library. Several students and staff attended the sessions and learned how to code.
This was an awesome activity. Doing this with 3rd graders at Huckleberry, I was so impressed how focused and how well they performed with all the puzzles. Many ask if they could do this at home – that’s a great sign!!!
