Summer App Review: MyFitnessPal by Gabe Landau

fitnesspalContinuing my reviews of fitness/nutrition apps, here comes one of my personal favorites. It’s called, MyFitnessPal and it is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for Android. This app is a diary for daily calorie intake, nutrition, exercise, as well as a weight and progress tracker through your exercise/diet program. It is a great way for you to track your eating habits while you prepare for the summer!

Cool Features

Bar Code Scanner: One of my favorite features of the app is the ability to scan bar codes  and have the nutrition update automatically. You can scan any type of food label, and it will add the nutrition information for you automatically.

Meal and Custom Foods: Another cool feature is the ability to combine foods that you search for into a meal, for example, combining two slices of bread, two slices of ham, some cheese, mustard, and you can save that as a Ham Sandwich and add it again later without having to type all the ingredients separately.

Restaurant Foods: The app has a list of about one hundred popular restaurants with all their nutrition info for their menu’s added, so you don’t need to guess. You can just find the restaurant, pick what you ordered from the list, and the app will do the rest.

This app is free to download from the app store and play store, here are some links for you to follow:
