iPad Screencasting by Noah Dalton

Since the school next year is giving the freshmen and sophomores iPads, we needed a way to make screencasts on the ios devices. The Reflection app for Mac and Pc allows us to do just that. It almost acts like a virtual Apple Tv because it uses airplay screen mirroring, which also means no extra software needed to be installed on the iPad or iPhone. Not only is it simple to use but it works very smoothly. I tried this out using my iPhone and Mac and was pleasantly surprised by the fluidity of this app. To use Reflection, just launch the application on your computer, then select your computer on the iPad’s airplay menu.

 

Now that the screen is showing on your computer just open up your Screencast app and start recording, it’s as simple as that.
